She has studied flute privately with Sandra Graef of the Indianapolis Symphony, Kyril Magg of the Cincinnati Symphony and Opera, Gary Woodward of the LA Opera, and Heather Verbeck-Harrison, Adjunct Faculty at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music.  Becki has been privileged to play in masterclasses for flutists Walfrid Kujala (Northwestern, Chicago Symphony), Tadeu Coelho (University of North Carolina), Mary Stolper (DePaul University), Victoria Jicha (Chicago Symphony), Jim Walker (LA Phil, Session musician), Stephen Preston (Royal Northern College of Music), Jan Kocman (Winnipeg Symphony), and Goran Marcusson (International Soloist) to name a few.

Becki was privileged to serve on the Board of Trustees for the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra from 2012-2015 and was the Piccoloist, Music Librarian and Business Manager for the Butler Philharmonic from 2008-2018.

A teacher of flute, piccolo, alto flute, Irish flute, and beginning piano for 15 years, Becki opened The Flute Shop three years ago in a 200 square-foot space in the basement of the Fitton Center.  It has now grown to a retail location on D Street in the Main Street District of Hamilton.

Becki performs the repair work at the shop in house and has been privileged to become certified in padding techniques from the Vermont Guild of Flute Making where she studied repair with renowned master flute maker Jonathan Landell of Landell Flutes.

Later this summer, Becki will be working with Project Trio at the Interactive Flute Retreat and teaching marching band flute sectionals at Hamilton High School for the fifth season.
